I think a lot about what our cultural artifacts would look like if they endure far into the future, whether they would retain our meaning, and if that meaning would even be intelligible to future observers.

I enjoy remixing media to achieve a glimpse of this space I envision as oblivion fields, a wasteland of cultural detritus, and fading memories. This space allows me to explore concepts of erasure, absence, loss, and decay.

Many of my works are digital collages combining physical painting, scanned textures, prints, and circuit-bent photography with found images.

I remix the images through the glitch art technique of data-bending and apply further compression, layering, and color-tuning in various image processing applications.

Layering processes to produce rich and varied textures is fascinating to me. Original images begin to lose their hold and new structures emerge.

My pixel art drawings are often derived from my collage work where I am repeating, overlaying, glitching, or juxtaposing images.

Recently, I have been exploring adding audio as a collage element to my work in the form of field recordings and synthesized sounds.

I live with my partner and two cats near the ocean and the forest.
